Denton, the seat of Caroline County, is steeped in history. The Town began as a tiny settlement on the Choptank River about 1781. It quickly became a trade center for a fairly wide agricultural area. In the days when commerce between the Eastern Shore and Baltimore was chiefly by water, Denton Wharf on the Choptank River was a busy loading point. Today, Denton still welcomes commerce. Audit Request for Proposals
Request for Audit Bid Proposals The Town of Denton, Maryland is seeking proposal from qualified independent certified public accounting firms to conduct the Financial and Compliance audits of the Town for fiscal years ending June 30, 2017 through 2019. The RFP description and conditions bid packet may be obtained on the Town website at www.dentonmaryland.com or by calling 410-479-2050. Bids must be received by the Town of Denton - Finance Dept. at 4 N. Second St., Denton, MD no later than 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Bids will be opened and publicly read at this time.
