Water and Sewer Rates for the Town of Denton

New Water and Sewer rates were adopted July 12, 2010 by Ordinance #608 and #609. The new rates will became effective for the quarter July 1, 2010 through Sept. 30, 2010 and will appear in the billing issued Oct. 1, 2010
Special Assessment Ordinance #412 and water ordinance #416 was adopted 7/1/2002.
All utilities are billed quarterly, January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
Usage for the Jan., Feb. & Mar. are billed on the April 1st billing.
Usage for Apr., May & June are billed on the July 1st billing, and so on.
Water Rates
- In Town users
Administrative Fee (per unit) increased to $23.00 per quarter
Usage per 1000 gallons increased to $3.25 - Out of Town or Tax waived users
Administrative Fee (per unit) increased to $46.00 per quarter
Usage per 1000 gallons increased to $6.50 - Water Turn Off fee
During regular hours $50.00
After hours or past 3:30 PM on weekdays $100.00 - Water Meter Replacement Fee
As of July 1, 2007 all accounts with a water meter that is 1" or less in size will be billed at (increased) to $4.00 per quarter water meter replacement fee. Accounts that have a larger meter will be responsible for the cost of a new meter at the time of replacement. This cost will be based on actual meter purchase price.
Sewer Rates
- In Town users
Administrative Fee (per unit) increased to $23.00 per quarter
Usage per 1000 gallons (based on water usage) increased to $6.04 - Out of Town or Tax waived users
Administrative Fee (per unit) increased to $46.00 per quarter
Usage per 1000 gallons increased to $12.08 - Vacant Lot
Vacant Lot sewer availability Fee $25.00 per quarter - Calls for Utility Service
During regular hours $50.00
After hours or past 3:30 PM on weekdays $100.00 - Interest
Late Fees are assessed at 1% on the 25th of each month on all past due balances.
