The group is seeking members and will host an information meeting Monday, September 19th at 6:30 p.m. in Denton, Maryland to educate the community about solar and the co-op process. The Town of Denton is seeking bids to resurface and cut shoulders at the following locations: Camp Road and Maryland Avenue from 2nd Street to Butler Drive. The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will host a public meeting for the new MD 404 widening project on Wednesday, August 3, from 5-7 pm at the Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company, 13512 First St. in Queen Anne. SHA recently awarded a contract to complete the dualization of MD 404 between US 50 and Denton by late 2017, and construction is now underway. This meeting is an opportunity to learn about the latest construction plans, work schedules and anticipated traffic impacts. Project team members will be available to answer questions. This is a self-paced meeting with displays – no formal presentation will be given. The attached mailer was sent to residents and property owners along MD 404 and SHA is advertising the meeting this week in local news and agriculture publications serving the tri-county area.
