Trash and Waste Removal

Residential Trash Collection Residential trash collection is provided to town residents as a service. Trash will be picked up weekly on Tuesday by Cahall, LLC. Trash should be placed at the roadside, curb or alley by 6:00 a.m. in an animal proof container. Persons using plastic bags do so at their own risk. Should an animal destroy the bag neither the Town or Peninsula Environmental Waste will collect loose garbage.

Appliances, furniture and shrubbery have other pick up days. Please contact the Finance Department at 410-479-2050 by noon on Tuesday to schedule a pick up.

Newspaper Collection Newspapers-will be collected when tied with string or packed in paper grocery bags. No plastic cord or wire. Bundles will be collected on Wednesday. All bundles should be placed at the curb, roadside or alley.

Grass & Yard Waste Grass, leaves and yard waste-will be collected on Wednesday provided that the items are at the curb, roadside or alley. A leaf vacuum service is in operation In the fall and for a short period in the spring - Please call for dates. Leaves placed for pickup at other times must be in plastic bags. The weight of the bags cannot exceed 60 pounds and must contain only leaves.
